We again ran two teams in the U13’s tournament, held at the ladies college. The results were disappointing but there was some great individual & team play, at times , which showed that there is a lot of potential. The teams mainly let themselves down with their defending and in particular lack of marking and chasing back. This will have to be worked on at training! The results for the mainly year 8 team were;
v Cheltenham 1 Lost 3 – 0
v Marlborough Lost 2 – 1 ( Tristan Murfitt)
v Yate Won 2 – 1 ( Harry Godwin, James Farquhar )
v Cirencester Drew 0 -0
v Lansdown Lost 1 -0
A special well done to Harry Godwin( year6) on debut for u13’s, scoring and adding to his impressive tally of goals this season.
Team – Matt Holdaway GK, Matt Collyer, James Lisk, Tristan Murfitt, James Farquhar, Oli Ganniclifft, Charlie Howes, Josh Bradshaw-Howes, Harry Godwin.

The mainly year 7’s results were
v Cheltenham 2 Lost 2 – 0
v Yate Lost 4 – 0
v Cirencester Drew 0 -0
v Lansdown Won 1 – 0
The team really raised their game against the older Lansdown boys, in a fiercely competitive game which showed how well both teams could really play. The winning goal game from a fine passing move down the right resulting in Lewis Allen crossing the ball for Jack Green to sweep the ball in, with a well timed run. Max Ellis and Jamie Harper battled hard in midfield and had the better of the play, against their older rivals. Cameron Paton held the defence together and cleared the ball out well, allowing few scoring opportunities. Well done to Chris Tarling, on his debut, with some impressive play.
Team Ben Holdaway GK, Cameron Paton, Ollie Mosley, Daniel Letherbarrow, Jamie Harper, Max Ellis, Chris Tarling, Jack Green, Lewis Allen.

Thanks to Karen & Sid for umpiring and coaching.
