The girls played 5 games in a round robin tournament on Sunday 2nd November. The girls won 2 and lost 3 but showed improvement in playing as a team and learning about positional play.

They were led by Georgina Paton who once again was tireless in breaking from midfield and running back channelling the opposition, she was assisted by Emma Winder who was tenacious in the tackle winning back possession and Kiana MacDonald & Izzy McGregor who worked hard chasing down the opposition.

At the front, Imke van der Star battled hard and did not stop chasing the ball. Ellie Lyburn debuted for the team and netted a brace of goals.

At the back, Elisha Privett played well, with the most improved player being the diminutive Ellie Pearson who showed great awareness in slowing the oppositions attacks so that the midfield could come and regain possession. Goalkeeper, Ellen Symington produced another series of solid performances, on several occasions producing a string of saves.

Thanks go to Lydia McGregor who, once again, turned up to play if the U11’s were short of players.

Sally and Paul would like to thank the girls for being a pleasure on and off the pitch. Keep training girls and we hope you will all be available for the next tournament on 14th December.
