A tremendous performance from a depleted Lansdown side saw them take three points from this hard fought game.  ISCA Dragons took the lead within the first ten minutes of the game and things weren’t looking good for Lansdown, but some outstanding saves from keeper Kelly Bowden kept the away side in the game and just before half time, blinding runs from debutant Jess Aldridge and Hannah Moon led to an ISCA foul in the circle and Lansdown were awarded a penalty flick.  Captain Julie Stowe converted, somewhat fortuitously.   In the second half a slick short corner move gave centre back Hannah Leathart a simple finish to give Lansdown the lead. For the rest of the half Lansdown defended superbly, playing disciplined hockey, with excellent tackling at the back from Julia Smith. A good start to the season for Lansdown means they are top tip to retain their title as West Premier Champions.
