The last game before the Christmas and New Year break saw the ladies 1’s take another 3 points and remain unbeaten in the league this season. This win and Team Bath drawing with Clifton sees the ladies 1’s Top of the league! The latest win against Swindon didn’t go all Lansdown’s way as it was the visitors who opened the scoring and they took the lead twice before super sub Fran Ripley put the game beyond them. Lansdown’s first goal came from a trade mark Nina Powell strike. The second was from Hannah Leathart who scored from 2 yards from a broken down short corner and super sub Fran scored two goals in quick succession, the first was a one on one with the keeper and the second a cheeky deflection from a free hit just outside the circle. It was an excellent team effort.

Thank you and well done to everyone who has played for the 1’s so far this season – you have all played your part in ensuring we are Top of the League. Well done and have a good Christmas and a winning New year.
