A confident start saw the ladies 1st XI take a 3-0 lead at half time in their away visit to Salisbury. Goals from Nina Emery, Sian Edwards and Helen Wicks gave the team a good base to build on in the second half but the team seemed to fall asleep and Salisbury scored 3 goals in quick succession to make the game all square. Undetered and determined to come away with 3 points the ladies 1st XI pushed for the winner and were awarded with an excellent solo effort by Helen Wicks to make it her second of the game. Salisbury couldn’t find a reply and Nina Emery sealed the win with a fine strike into the top right corner. The team were certainly shaken but not stirred by Salisbury and are looking to continue their good run with a home game against local rivals Gloucester on Saturday.
