Lansdown Ladies 2nd XI 0 v Jaspers 1 Friday, October 19, 2007Posted by sara in Cheltenham Hockey, Field Hockey, Ladies 2nd XI, Match Report.
With a very depleted team, Lansdown Ladies 2nd XI showed amazing determination and displayed 100% effort for the duration of the game. With only a squad of 11, we retained the majority of the possession throughout the game but just lost out on a draw through a lucky shot at a penalty corner by Jaspers.
Angela Varley and Hayley Whitehouse worked hard in midfield and created several chances but Lansdown were just unlucky to convert. Karen Holdaway and Justine Segar adapted well in different positions down the left and played some great hockey and we didn’t deserve to lose at all.
Lansdown Ladies 2nd XI has a friendly next week at Home to Wootten Bassett.
