Lansdown Ladies 3’s 4 v Newent 1 Tuesday, October 2, 2007

Lansdown Ladies 3’s have started the season on a winning note. Adrenalin was running high as we moved into the unknown realms of Severn Two. A positive start saw Lansdown with the majority of play without being able to convert the final move on goal. Newent began to wake up towards the end of the first half and broke through to score the first goal against the run of play. This seemed to give Lansdown the drive that they needed and responded with a equalizer from Amy Ewing, closely followed by a second, from a penalty corner, struck by Sara Thompson. After half time Lansdown continued to pressurise Newent and converted two more goals scored by Angharad Thomas and Natasha Box. A special thank you to Harriet Greenstock for her stunning performance in goal and Donna Whitehouse who received the Man of the Match.
