Lansdown expected a tough game against top of the table Clifton and didn’t start brightly going 1-0 down after 4 minutes. But the team bounced back and gained some composure on the ball and pressed for the equaliser and were rewarded after 10 minutes. A great cross from Tash found Alice on the right post who steered the ball home. Clifton continued to press to take the lead for the second time but some outstanding defensive play and some cracking saves by Kelly kept the score line 1-1. Lansdown had several chances in the second half to take the lead themselves, Becky, Ammo and Nina all going close but the team just couldn’t find the back of the net. Clifton also had several chances to take the three points but the final score remained 1-1. Thanks to all those who were on the side line supporting – it certainly helps.
