A hard fought game saw the ladies first XI draw against Gloucester. Lansdown took the lead early in the first half with a well worked short corner, Lloydy pushing the ball over the goal line but were unable to make it two before the break. Gloucester scored their equaliser from a short corner early in the second half, but Lansdown bounced back with a great individual run from Wixy with a reverse stick strike that wrong footed the goalkeeper.

Gloucester continued to press to equalise for the second time, but the Lansdown defence were superb once again. Julia, Karen, Alice, Stowey and Kelly all playing out of their skins. Lansdown almost scored another when Becky deflected a Wixy cross, but it unfortunately went over the cross bar. Gloucester did eventually equalise late in the second half.

The team have bounced back really well after our usual lack lustre start to the season with 4 games unbeaten so well done girls. We now focus on our National League indoor season that takes place on 6th/7th Jan in Hull and 13th/14th Jan in Bath at the Uni. As part of our warm up we entered the Bath Buccs Indoor tournament that took place last Sunday and finished today and I am pleased to say we won the tournament for the second year running.

More details about the National League games will posted in the next few weeks. Merry Christmas everyone.
