The ladies 2’s took on Devizes at home this week. Lansdown played some fantastic hockey and had a lot of chances right from the start, but just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. Then ten minutes before half time, a fantastic ball from Kate Houston in midfield split the Devizes defence and Susie Francis had just the goalkeeper to beat, which she did with style and slotted the ball in for Lansdown to take a 1-0 lead.

Devizes went down to 10 men straight after the Lansdown goal as their goalkeeper was injured while trying to make a save and had to leave the pitch. Unfortunately Lansdown were unable to capitalize on their lead with Devizes playing the rest of the match with 10 men, but were very pleased to win 1-0 and gain another 3 points.

Congratulations to Negs who won our man of the match award for the second week in a row.
