A great performance from everyone in the Squad saw us draw 2-2 against 3rd place Exeter. Lansdown started well and troubled Exeter from the start with some great play down the right by Julia Smith, Dawn Brooksbank and Hannah Moon. But it was Exeter who took the early lead with a great strike into the top righthand corner, it was a well taken goal and goalkeeper Kelly Bowden couldn’t do anything to stop it. But Lansdown bounced back and continued the pressure down the right and equalised from a long corner, with Nina Powell providing the cross for Becky Mawby to deflect into the goal. The second half was end to end with chances for both sides and it was Lansdown who took the initiative from a short corner. A well worked routine saw Hannah Lloyd deflect the ball into the roof of the net. Exeter got their equaliser with 10 minutes to go but neither team could find that final goal to take the full three points.
