Lansdown 2 – Bath Bucc’s 4

The Ladies 2’s had a hard fought battle this weekend against Bath Buccs.

Everyone put in 100% effort but unfortunately Lansdown were 2-0 down at half time.

At the start of the second half Bath Buccs scored again but Lansdown never gave up and shortly after Bath Buccs scored their 3rd goal Lansdown were awarded a penalty corner. The ball was struck by captain Cally Pollard, and Sian Edwards was waiting on the left hand post to slot the ball in to take the score to 3-1. Bath Buccs came back strongly and scored their 4th goal with about 5 minutes to go. From the push back Lansdown surged forward and their efforts were rewarded with another penalty corner which was converted by Kate Houston (only her second league goal in 17 years).

Well done everyone, although the result went against us we never gave up fighting.

Thanks,

Cally Pollard
Ladies 2nd XI Captain.
